For Buyers
GTH provides European importers with a simple, verified, and structured way to source teak, bangkirai, merbau, and other tropical hardwoods. At the same time, we facilitate access to European oak, beech, and ash for buyers in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand. Every transaction includes full compliance documentation support required for international timber trade.
The Problem
Most importers spend weeks sourcing suppliers through industry directories, WhatsApp referrals, and international trade shows. Even after identifying a potential partner, critical uncertainties remain: are certifications valid and up to date, is the supplier reliable and consistent, and can they deliver the promised quality and volume?
In addition, the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) has introduced stricter requirements for market access. As of 29 June 2023, operators placing timber products on the EU market must demonstrate legal origin and submit a due diligence declaration supported by verified geolocation data and deforestation-free evidence. Identifying suppliers who understand and can consistently meet these requirements is often the most complex part of the sourcing process.
GTH simplifies this process through the catastico.eu platform. Every supplier is pre-verified before being allowed to list products, and all required compliance documentation is integrated into each order — fully structured and ready for due diligence.
What you can do
Access a curated catalog of hardwood products offered exclusively by verified suppliers in Southeast Asia and Europe. Advanced filters allow you to refine searches by wood species, dimensions, quality grade, moisture content, country of origin, and availability. Gain full clarity on what you are sourcing — before you commit.
Once you identify the right product, submit a Request for Quotation (RFQ) with your exact specifications. Suppliers respond directly with pricing, production timelines, and delivery estimates. All communication and order details remain securely archived on the platform, ensuring transparency, traceability, and internal coordination.
Each order includes a dedicated documentation hub where suppliers upload all required compliance materials, including V-Legal / FLEGT certificates, geolocation data and traceability files, FSC license or certificate references, and additional due diligence documentation. This system is designed specifically around regulatory requirements — not added as an afterthought — ensuring smoother compliance workflows for European importers.
Track your order from confirmation through to shipment. All documents, comments, and status changes are logged in one place. Your team can access the full history of every trade.

EUDR
The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) came into force in June 2023. For large and medium operators, compliance is required from December 2025. For small businesses, from June 2026.
In practice, it means every wood product you place on the EU market must be accompanied by a due diligence statement confirming:
GTH suppliers are required to provide this documentation as part of every order. Indonesia’s SVLK / V-Legal system (FLEGT-licensed) is recognised by the EU as a valid legality assurance scheme, which simplifies the due diligence process for products sourced from Indonesian sellers on the platform.

Buyer FAQ
GTH is designed for B2B buyers, importers, distributors, construction companies, furniture manufacturers, and timber. Consumer purchases are not supported. All accounts are reviewed before approval.
Minimum order sizes are set by individual sellers and are listed on each product. In general, GTH trades at container-load volumes, typically starting from 20 cubic metres.
Every seller on GTH is verified before their account is activated and before their products appear in the marketplace. GTH reviews business registration, export licences, and certifications as part of the onboarding process.
Buyers using GTH can request and receive origin documentation, geolocation data link/files, and V-Legal / FLEGT certificates from sellers through the platform. This gives you the core materials needed to complete your EUDR due diligence statement when the products enter the EU.
Yes. Through the RFQ system, you can submit a request specifying exactly what you need. Sellers can respond if they can fulfil it, or a GTH broker can help source it from the wider network.
GTH supports agreed payment terms between buyer and seller, confirmed and documented within the platform. Payment terms (letter of credit, advance payment, trade finance) are specified in the sales order. GTH does not process payments directly but maintains a documented record of all agreed terms.
