For Sellers
Sell Certified Hardwood to European Buyers. European and South East Asian buyers are looking for certified hardwood. Here's how to reach them.
GTH gives verified both European and Southeast Asian timber suppliers a direct channel to importers and distributors across Germany, Austria, Italy, and the wider EU. Free to list. No cold outreach required.
The Problem
Reaching buyers takes more than a good product.
The Asean and European hardwood market is large, but getting into it not straightforward. European buyers are increasingly cautious about who they source from, driven partly by EUDR compliance requirements, and partly by hard lessons from unreliable suppliers. South East Asian buyers from the other side struggle with custom clearances based on their countries. Cold emails don’t work. Trade fairs are expensive and infrequent. And managing enquiries across WhatsApp, email, and phone means things fall through.
GTH solves the access problem. Buyers come to the platform specifically to find verified European and Southeast Asian suppliers. When you list on GTH, you’re visible to companies actively looking for what you produce, not hoping a cold email lands at the right time.

Buyer Expectations
What European buyers need from you
European importers are specific. They're not browsing, they know what species, what dimensions, what quality grade, and what volume they need. They also need:
- Proof of legal origin: V-Legal / FLEGT certificates or FSC Chain of Custody
- EUDR documentation: Geolocation data and deforestation-free confirmation
- Consistent quality: First-grade products graded and measured accurately
- Reliable lead times: Buyers plan shipments months ahead
- Clear communication: Prompt responses to RFQs and order updates
GTH gives you a structured way to present all of this. Sellers who provide complete documentation and respond quickly to RFQs close more deals.

Seller FAQ
Questions from sellers
GTH accepts sellers who are registered businesses with verifiable export experience. You need a valid business registration, export licence, and at least one recognised timber certification (V-Legal / FLEGT or FSC). Applications from EU, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, and India are currently prioritised.
After you submit your registration on catastico.eu, the GTH team reviews your documents, business registration, certifications, and export history. Approved sellers can list products and receive buyer RFQs. Verification typically takes 2–5 business days.
GTH uses a transaction-based model. Listing is free. Commission terms are confirmed during the onboarding process and are applied only on completed trades.
Indonesian sellers should have V-Legal (SVLK) certification, which is the FLEGT-recognised legality assurance scheme accepted by the EU. FSC Chain of Custody certification is a strong additional signal for European buyers. Sellers without FSC but with V-Legal can still trade on the platform; V-Legal is sufficient for EUDR purposes.
Within each sales order on the platform, there is a document section where you upload your V-Legal certificate, geolocation data for the harvest site, packing list, and bill of lading. GTH's compliance document system is designed around these requirements. If you are unsure what to upload, the GTH team can guide you.
If you receive an RFQ that you cannot fulfil, wrong species, unavailable dimensions, or timing issues, you can decline the request or respond with an alternative proposal. GTH brokers can also help route requests to suitable sellers.
