The Marketplace
International Timber Trade, Simplified
Buying and selling timber across continents has traditionally involved endless email exchanges, scattered documentation, and complex administrative processes.
GTH was built to eliminate these inefficiencies.
The platform gives importers in Europe and Southeast Asia access to a curated network of verified producers and suppliers from Europe, Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia.
Every supplier is vetted before joining the marketplace, and every product listing clearly specifies:
Wood species
Dimensions
Quality grade
Country of origin
Availability
Lead time
For suppliers, GTH provides direct access to qualified buyers actively searching for specific species, grades, and volumes, eliminating time wasted on unqualified enquiries.
The platform also supports the documentation required for the Due Diligence process under the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), making compliance part of the commercial workflow.

Receive the Quote and Negotiate
Suppliers respond with pricing, availability, and delivery schedules. Both parties can negotiate commercial terms, revise offers, and reach an agreement without leaving the platform. • No endless email chains. • No lost information. • No misunderstandings.
Confirm the Order and Manage the Shipment
Once the quotation is accepted, the order is generated automatically. Supporting documentation, including certifications, compliance documents, packing lists, and shipping records, is stored and managed within the platform. From order confirmation to final delivery, every stage can be tracked in one place.

The Founder's Story
My name is Mauro Pivato.
I entered the timber industry at the age of 25.
For many years I have lived and worked across Southeast Asia, specialising in timber sourcing, grading, and quality control while building long-standing relationships with producers in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Myanmar.
Everything I know about this business has been learned through hands-on experience.
Until 2021, I worked primarily in the Burmese teak sector, managing sawmills in Myanmar and collaborating with Malaysian and Singaporean exporters supplying timber to customers around the world, particularly in Europe.
Throughout my career I kept encountering the same situation.
European importers struggled to obtain documentation that satisfied the requirements of their national competent authorities.
In many cases, suppliers already possessed the necessary documents, but they were not submitted in the required format or with sufficient detail.
The result was frustration, delays, and unnecessary costs for everyone involved.
Having worked closely with both suppliers and importers, I realised the real problem was not the documentation itself, it was the absence of a shared, structured process.
That insight led to the creation of GTH.
A private B2B e-procurement platform where every supplier is verified before joining and must demonstrate their ability to meet the documentation standards required by European importers.
Every buyer is also a legitimate business.
No anonymous traders.
No unverified intermediaries.
Simply a trusted marketplace built by someone who understands the realities of the timber trade.
It's the platform I wish had existed when I started my career.
Today, it does.
